Thanks for sharing the image of my painting, "Party Mime" on your blog!

Just as a little background on this piece, I painted it after a trip I took to China in 2008. I came home a few days before the start of the summer Olympic games in Beijing. At the opening ceremonies of the Olympics, a lovely little girl was shown singing..... but it turns out she was lip synching because the girl whose voice we heard was deemed not cute enough.

So my 'Party Mime' title covers both the obvious (mimes often entertain us at parties) and the deeper meaning that the little girl is a mime for "The (communist) Party".

Hope you'll check out more of my paintings here:

Thanks for looking!

Thank you so much for your comment.

I absolutely love your work. Yes, I have checked out your site and I couldn't pick a favorite because that would be really hard to do, but I adore "Jesus gets his nails done (at the mall)" and "Tony "Babyface" Gambino ( meet your new loan officer)."

I encourage everyone to check out Dana Ellyn's amazing work. It is beautiful, breath taking, and very much inspiring.
