socks+hardwood floors=pain

I love to cook. I love to eat. But I always end up really hurting myself during the process. Sometimes the injury happens outside of the kitchen.

I woke up with a craving. Went to the kitchen and stood in front of the refrigerator for about an hour. Finally it came to me, I wanted to make brownies. Yum, I love brownies. I had a feeling I might get hurt today so I was being extra careful with almost everything I was doing during the brownie making process. When I finished mixing and put the brownies in the oven, I realized that nothing had gone wrong.

I was playing on my computer when I smelled something burning. Got up from my seat and started to run. During this time of panic I forget that socks+hardwood floors=pain. When I finally came to, I saw blood and felt a lot of pain. Why I ask myself, why? But no answer. At the moment all i wanted to do was fix the gash on my chin. About 10 to 15 minutes later after I stopped the bleeding and put some ice on my face, I realized the brownies were still in the oven. Slowly I walked towards the oven open the oven door and look inside only to find perfectly cooked brownies waiting for me to take them out. So when the box says 20 minutes it actually means 30 to 35 minutes.

Lesson learned: socks+hardwood floors=pain
